Legend of The Dragon Boat Festival With ROV, the Ending Might be Different.
The original story of the Dragon Boat Festival was a memorial to the loyal and patriotic Minister of the Dynasty Chu – Qu Yuan. Long story short, the dedicated Minister quit the well to live and threw himself into the Miluo River because of the Emperor's wrong political decision, leading him to end his life by jumping into the river.
Qu Yuan was very well-loved by the people, so when the people heard about this tragedy, they decided to feed the fish with sticky dumplings and drive the dragon boat with drums to scare the fish away meanwhile tried to find his body. The approach of driving fish away from Qu Yuan’s body was uncivilized and very strange, did it work? No trace to prove it. But the tradition lasts until these days and has become a custom.
It would be a different story if the Chu citizens had ROV then. Imagine, ROV equipped with LED light, that can light up the dark and muddy underwater environment, which could make the search and rescue much more manageable. With DWTEK ROV LED light, it has high performance of lightness with greater than 45 lm/W, and with the thermal sensor detection, can auto lowers the brightness when the temperature reaches up to 60 degrees, and lumens drop around 10% for protection, and switch back to its brilliance after the temperature drop. And our HD 1080p resolution camera is the eyes under the sea, with angles 63.7°~ 2.3° of range, making the identification process in the deep sea efficient. Other features like video outputs through fiber, a depth rating of 2,000 m, and is with the Sony VISCA communication protocol. Overall, it is compatible with other types of underwater devices.
The eyes of ROV are so important in each mission, no matter is aquacultural and oceanographic research, hull and dam inspection, offshore infrastructure operation, maintenance, defense usage, and even in this case – salvage and detection, with well-designed ROV, we can achieve so many things in the underwater world.
