Top 3 reasons to use right angle connector on ROV

Are you experiencing damage to your ROV connector cords?

The standard circular or micro connector might be the first choice of most clients when it comes to ROV underwater connectors. However, interestingly the “micro circular right angel” might be better for you in certain situations. Why? Here are some regular issues of using circular ones on your ROV. We believe that many ROV designers have experienced and hope to get rid of these nightmares.

Issue 1: The ROV chamber has too many cables, making it a mess.
Issue 2: The chamber space is limited, forcing users to bend the cable to save space. However, this also raises the possibility of cable damage.
Issue 3: The connector plug you use is always loosened from the ROV wall.

Why do we say the right angel one is an alternative to circular? How could it solve these issues? A quick look at right angle design features!

  • Feature 1
Designing the connector body at a 90° angle allows the cord to “smoothly run along the chamber wall” which makes your cord could be a tidy arrangement and able to be installed in a confined space.

    • Feature 2
By using right angle connectors, users “can assemble connectors without damaging cable” and no longer need to worry about cable bend radius limitation.

  • Feature 3
By using right angle connectors, users “can assemble connectors without damaging cable” and no longer need to worry about cable bend radius limitation.
